Buckinghamshire Council is currently in the process of future-proofing Aylesbury Town Centre with a programme of improvements that will help ensure that the town continues as a vibrant, prosperous town centre. Some of the finished improvements reported by Buckinghamshire from 2018 to 2019 include the new development of The Exchange that included a new car park, a brand new public square, four restaurants, and 47 apartments that were opened in 2019. In addition to the new development at The Exchange, £4.6 million investment has been approved by the council for improvements to two key public spaces – Kingsbury and Market Square, with stakeholder engagement that began in 2019.
